× The Center of Anna Maria Island will be hosting a special event titled: Ocean of Hope with Philippe Cousteau Jr on Saturday November 16th 2019. The evening will begin with a welcome at 5:00pm at The Center. This special presentation will include Turtle Watch updates from Suzi Fox and keynote presentation by Philippe Cousteau Jr. Join us for an evening of hope and adventure. Philippe will share stories and insights from three generations of his family and explore how together, we can build a thriving, healthy ocean for us all. All ages are welcome to attend. The cost is $27.50 for attendees ages 12 and up. Under 12 years old is free.

About Philippe Cousteau Jr Inspired by the legacy of his grandfather of Jacques Cousteau, Philippe is an multi Emmy-Nominated TV host and producer as well as an author, speaker, and social entrepreneur. He and his wife Ashlan are the stars of The Travel Channel’s newest series Caribbean Pirate Treasure. It follows the Cousteau's as they travel around the Caribbean, diving into maritime mysteries, exploring pirate histories and investigating the lore of lost treasures. In addition, Philippe is the host and executive producer of the multi-Emmy nominated series Awesome Planet, now filming its fourth season which is syndicated on Fox and Hulu. His conservation efforts are focused on solving global social and environmental problems. In 2004 he founded EarthEcho International, a leading environmental education organization dedicated to inspiring youth to take action for a sustainable planet. Philippe is a sought-after speaker having hosted and keynoted various events for the United Nations, Harvard University, the University of Florida, the Society of Environmental Journalists, The Economist Magazine global summit, and countless corporate events and global conferences. He has testified before Congress several times and most recently presented at TEDx Pennsylvania Ave. About The Center of Anna Maria Island The Center of Anna Maria Island is a nonprofit community center on Florida’s Anna Maria Island, focusing on the community and welcoming all, as the community’s gathering place. Its mission is to enhance the overall well-being of individuals of all ages while preserving a sense of community through creative programs and partnerships.
